Support is here.
Private, free, and yours
The Employee Assistance Program is a voluntary, confidential benefit available to you at no cost. Getting started is simple and your employer never knows you used it.
Access the EAP website or app
You can reach the EAP from your employer intranet, a direct website link, or by calling the 800 number. The first thing you will see is a homepage focused on privacy and ease of access.

-
Available via direct URL, employer intranet, or phone
-
No company branding beyond a generic employer reference
-
Designed to reduce hesitation and encourage engagement

Goal: reduce anxiety and encourage engagement
Verify your eligibility
Before accessing services, you will confirm that you are eligible. This step uses the minimum information necessary and does not pull your HR records.

-
Enter your company access code (provided by your employer)
-
No HR records accessed at this stage
-
Verifies eligibility only, not your personal identity for reporting

Goal: confirm access while protecting anonymity
Create an account or proceed anonymously
You have two options. Both are secure and private.

-
Option A: Create an account
Email and password, consent acknowledgment, optional profile details
-
Option B: Anonymous access
No account needed. Proceed directly to services on a session basis.
-
No employer data is shared at this step
-
Only anonymous usage metrics are ever reported

Goal: minimize friction while maintaining security
Choose your service
Based on your need, you are offered the appropriate options. You will see clearly what is covered, how many sessions are available, and what formats are offered.

-
Human support: counseling, legal, or financial consultation
-
Self-service resources: articles, videos, guides, and worksheets
-
Urgent scenarios: clear escalation paths and crisis resources

Goal: set clear expectations and empower your choice
Complete intake and schedule your appointment
If you choose to speak with a professional, you will complete a brief intake form and select your preferred format and time.

-
Brief intake form: issue type, availability, and preferences
-
Choose your format: video, phone, or in-person
-
We respond within 24 hours to confirm your appointment

Goal: get help scheduled with minimal delay
Attend your session
Your session takes place securely by video, phone, or in person. Clinical notes and session details remain with the EAP provider and are never shared with your employer.

-
Secure video or phone session with a qualified professional
-
In-person option available where applicable
-
Clinical data stays with STI. Your employer sees nothing.

Goal: deliver effective support while preserving confidentiality
Logout and data protection
When you are done, your session is closed securely. A final confidentiality reminder reassures you that your visit is private and will never be reported to your employer individually.

-
Secure logout at the end of every session
-
Automatic session timeout for inactivity
-
Clear reassurance that your utilization is confidential and not reported to your employer individually

Goal: leave with confidence that your privacy is fully protected
Receive follow-up resources and ongoing support
After your session you will receive follow-up materials, reminders, and options to continue. You can return to the EAP any time you need support.

-
Session reminders and confirmations
-
Follow-up resources and self-help tools
-
Optional satisfaction surveys (anonymous)
-
Option to book follow-up sessions if available

Step by step
Your full journey through the EAP
Here is a detailed walkthrough of each stage of the employee experience from first contact through ongoing engagement.
Why this matters
What this program is designed to do
EAP workflows are intentionally built around four principles that make the program trustworthy and effective for every employee.
Lower stigma
The program is designed so employees feel safe reaching out without fear of judgment or workplace consequences.
Protect confidentiality
Every step of the process is built around keeping your information private and separate from your employer at all times.
Reduce friction
Simple access, minimal steps, and no unnecessary barriers so you can get support without extra effort or delay.
Get people help quickly without HR involvement
Employees connect directly with qualified professionals. HR is never part of the process.
Important notice
The EAP is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or your local emergency number right away.
